The Trone Family: One

You are one! HOLY COW time sure does fly. I can't believe that the little baby that was so hard on us that first few months turned out to be the biggest little sugar ever.
You like to play peek a boo a lot right now. You will take anything and try to hide your eyes. You also like to point at everything. One of your favorites is to look up at the monkey in the window. If I start to sing, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" you usually stop what you are doing and put your hands up in the air. You love that song! You are just like your sis because you like to climb climb climb. You like to get on the table, toilet, step stool etc.You also like to hang on the bars already at the park. I was letting you hang the other day and you were laughing so hard that your top teeth were showing. It was the cutest thing. You have 4 teeth now.
If you pick something up off of the ground you hold it up and look at us. If we tell you to bring it to us....you do it! You don't even put it in your mouth. It is amazing. You are so good. I'm sure you are going to give us a run for our money again sometime soon but we are enjoying this little slice of heaven right now.
You still do a great job of walking while holding on to something and you have no desire to venture off and try it on your own. You are such a fast crawler so that continues to be your preferred mode of transportation. You do a very good job at driving your sister bonkers. Of course, you want everything she has and you will stop at nothing to get it. You climb on top of her, pull her hair, and you even laugh while you are doing it. It works both ways. Sometimes Ellie comes and takes over the things that you are doing too and it makes you just as mad. Things between you two are going to get tough! On the other hand, I don't think anything makes your daddy and me happier than watching you two play and laugh together.

We had a fun birthday with you. Your daddy bought you a big John Deer dump truck that you love to climb in and push around. Elise picked out the Inchworm Radio Flyer for you from the second hand store and I picked out the Little People Zoo. Here is a picture of you with all of your birthday loot.

To celebrate your birthday we went to the children's museum with some friends and then over to the coffee shop for some birthday brownies. When daddy came home from work we did a quick Skype with Mommom and Poppy so they could see you on your big day. We also had some Facetime with your Godmother Sheila and Auntie Em. After dinner, we went out to our favorite place, Taste Buds, for some frozen yogurt. It was a pretty mellow day. Your birthday celebration will continue next week because we are going to have a big family party for you and Jo Jo.
