Last year we turned our guest room into Elise's playroom. It is a better use of our space since we don't have guests too often. When we do have guests they get top notch treatment by sleeping on our air matress. When we were getting the room ready for Sheila and family, Elise was having a blast climbing on and jumping all over the air matress. With some coaching from Daddy she started to catch a ball. When she got thirsty after all her running around she went and took a big swig of water and then accidentally spit it all over the place. We couldn't help but laugh and of course now she thinks sptting her water out is the funniest thing ever.

Before it's too hot...
We have been spending as much time as possible outside before it is too hot. May has been an extra wonderful month weather wise so we have had bonus outside time. While all our friends in other states are preparing for a wonderful summer, we will be preparing to hibernate indoors until September. Especially with a pregnant momma.
Angie and I take the kids on a walk to the library on Monday mornings for story time. We usually find a great area to have a picnic outside before heading home. Sometimes our little play buddies join us as well. We feel so lucky and happy that we live close by and are able to do things like this together with our kids.
We have had lots of zoo time.... the animals have been out and pretty active all winter/spring but now we won't see much action from them until it cools off. Ellie and I even heard a lion roar last week. It was pretty awesome. We will probably still go to the zoo in the wee hours in the morning so the kiddos can still enjoy the splash pad before the sun gets too hot.
We have also been having a lot of playdate at friend's house and in parks around town.

Papa's Backyard
We have been spending a lot of time in Papa's backyard because it is one of the best places to be. Grandma bought all her grandkids new swimsuits for the summer that stay at her house so they are there whenever we need them. Papa has created quite the backyard for all of his grandkids to enjoy. Here are some favorite pictures of our fun days out back.
Once Mia got hold of the water squirter she was a maniac!

Jump Street
Elise went to a birthday party at a fun place called Jump Street. She was in heaven surrounded by bouncey slides and trampolines. She was doing an endless amount of happy dancing. I think Daddy was having just as much fun! Baby Trone got to have a few bounces too when Mommy went out to jump around with Elise. It was certainly fun for the whole family. Happy birthday to Gracie!
Children's Museum
We went to the Phoenix Children's Museum last week and had a blast. Daddy is on summer break from work so he was able to come. Elise has been to the museum plenty of times, but somehow everything seemed a lot better with Daddy there!
Baby Boy Trone
We are thrilled that we are going to have a little boy! Today Grandma asked her what the baby's name was and she said "brother." She seems pretty happy about the baby growing in my belly. We will see how she feels about it when he arrives!

California Adventure
We had a fun California adventure last weekend. We were there for the Big Sur Marathon and to celebrate Grandpa's 60th birthday. We were very lucky to be able to stay with friends in Pebble Beach. Thank you Mike and Paola! We ventured around Monterey, Carmel, and Pacific Grove as well. We had never been that far north in California and it was absolutely beautiful. Elise loved the beach. It wasn't quite warm enough to get in the water but she still had fun getting her toes wet.
Greg was able to catch up with an old friend in Santa Cruz and go for a beautiful mountain bike ride.
The day before the race we met up with Grandma and Grandpa and the Carusos to get race packets and walk around Monterey. The girls were able to get all their energy out at Dennis the Menace Park. It could possibly be the coolest public park ever. There were fun slides, tunnels, swings and even a maze garden.
We made one more stop at the beach before we called it a day.
On race day Grandma and I brought the kids out to meet up with Angie who did the 9 miler, and cheer on all the guys. Greg, Mike and Grandpa all did a great job completing the marathon. A very cool accomplishment for Grandpa on his 60th.
We had a nice dinner out to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. There was some pretty fun couches out on the patio that entertained us for a while.
