A Weekend Full of Parties!

We had lots of friends and family in town for the baptism weekend. Uncle Jeff and cousin Billy flew in from Maryland, our cousin Pat and his family came in from Denver, and Sheila and her family came in from San Diego. This created a jam packed weekend filled with parties and fun. Uncle Jeff and Billy came in on Friday and it was so nice to be able to spend some time with just them on Friday. We hadn't seen them in a few years and they had never met Elise or Patrick.  Elise, it took you no time to feel comfortable with Uncle Jeff and Billy. You took off all of your clothes and started jumping around on the couch all around them. You were so happy they were here.

Saturday morning friends from college came over with their kiddos. It is fun to watch the kids together and see how much they change each year. Sheila usually comes into town once a year so it is a must for us all to get together when she comes in. We tried very hard to get a good picture of Alexa, RJ, Lucy and Elise together but their 2 year old attitudes were kicking in and they would not smile. It looks like they weren't having any fun at the party but they were having a blast running around the yard and playing in the water. Patrick, you had fun with your new buddies Jamie and Makynlee.

Saturday evening we had lots of family over for some pizza and goodies. It was fun to have Pat, Kesa, Olivia and Conor down for the weekend. All the kids had so much fun together. After the Baptism on Sunday morning, everyone went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for some more food and fun. It was also Papa's birthday celebration. By Sunday evening everyone was pretty pooped.

Before the Sullivans left on Monday we were able to take them to storytime at the library and have lunch at Auntie Angie's house. It was nice to fit one last little party in for the weekend.

Patrick and Joseph's Baptism

Patrick,
You and your cousin Joe were baptised at the Fransiscan Renewal Center. The mass was beautiful! The best part was having so many family and friends there to celebrate the occasion.You both did very well when they poured the baptismal water over your head. You both looked very handsome in your white outfits. Your sisters, cousins and friends sure had fun celebrating and dancing in church. Uncle Tootles blessed us with his wonderful voice as he cantored and sang some songs during mass. It really was a very special day!

 

Our American Idol

Elise, you love American Idol this year.  Wednesday nights are a special night around here. You get to stay up a little late and eat popcorn and watch your favorite singers. After a few songs and when you are finished with the popcorn, you start dancing around on the couch and singing with the contestants. It is pretty fun for us to watch. You said you love Colton but he got voted off a few weeks ago. Sometimes you still ask for him but you like a few of the others as well. I think you just like the excuse to stay up a little late and sing and dance like a little maniac.

Spring Pictures

A mommy of one of the other little girls in Elise's gymnastics class has started her own photography business. She is also a friend of Jordan and I saw some cute pictures she took of RJ so we decided to have her take some pictures of Ellie and Patrick. Thanks Audrey for taking such nice pictures of the family! Elise told grandma after we met that she went on an adventure. That was a beautiful area.
