Rock Climbing

Daddy took Ellie on her first trip to the climbing gym and she loved it. She had been asking to go for a long time. She loved it and did great!

2 Months

Quinn,
You are 2 months old! You are so sweet. You sleep more than any baby I have ever known. I was a little concerned and asked the doctor at your 2 month check up but they said you are doing great and we are just lucky. You have started sucking your thumb like a pro with your pointer finger wrapped up on your nose and everything. You are a very active baby when you are awake. You smile, love to kick and move, and you love pushing your legs against anything. You love Mr. Star in your play gym and the ceiling fans. You are chubbing up and have your first rolls coming in on your thighs. You are picking your head up and looking around during tummy time.
You still don't mind Ellie and Patchy in your face. After 2 months they still have no respect for your personal space, but you don't seem to care. Daddy and I are just amazed at what you can tolerate. Ellie talks to you so loudly and goofy. She likes to put on little classes for you like we are at story time at the library. Patchy likes to try to lay right on top of you or stick his fingers in your mouth. He always says...I want to see her. He gives you the biggest slobbery kisses/licks ever. They love you so much and you brighten up when you see them.
I think the only time that you cry is when you want to be sleeping and for various reasons aren't able to get there. I can usually take you right into your room and you conk right out in the crib. So far so good, little one. We love you!

Mikey's Birthday

Mikey had a bit of a birthday extravaganza this year. We celebrated his 4th birthday a few times. His big party was at Home Depot. It was such a fun place to have his party and it was free!! The kids all built and painted a race car.  It was a blast.

And then there was Mikey's actual birthday. It was funny because all of the cousins ended up in the sand box naked after a swim in the pool. They were having SOOOO much fun. I love watching them all together. They are growing up so fast. Happy Birthday Mikey.

Last Day of Preschool

Ellie finished her 1st year of preschool. Time is sure flying by. I'm happy she still has one more year before she is gone all day everyday in Kindergarten. Here she is with sweet teacher on the first day and last day of school. We celebrated by going out for big root beer floats and on to the splash pad with some of her buddies from class. Mrs. Bontrager came with us!

Before it is too hot....

We are trying to soak up as much outdoor time as possible. We have been enjoying some fun days filled with picnics at the library, parks, splash pads and the zoo. They are having fun and our little baby is such a trooper always peacefully along for the ride.

A Mother's Day Party

Ellie's class had a special party for the Moms. It was so sweet. Ellie's teacher, Mrs. Bontrager's high school daughter and some of her orchestra friends were there to play some fun Disney type tunes as we walked in and sat and chatted with our child. Then we had cupcakes, drinks and they gave us some wonderful gifts. Mrs. Bontrager ended the party with a slideshow of the school year and it was so touching to watch the kids grow throughout the year. What a fun day. Thanks, Ellie, for making me feel so special!

Celebrating Creativity

Ellie's preschool had a Celebrate Creativity day at her school. Ellie needed to pick her favorite art pieces from the year and display them on a board for all to see. They had face painting, treats, and time with some good buddies as well. The kids practiced a few songs to sing for the parents. It was one of the first times Ellie didn't want to go up and sing for us. Our little performer is starting to become aware of the people and she doesn't want people to laugh at her. I hope this is just a stage, but maybe our crazy performer is actually a shy girl deep down. Either that or she was just being a crank. It will be interesting to see!
