Growing up with the Museum
Elise, We have been going to the children's museum since you were a little baby. We would go with Auntie Angie and watch Mia run around while you just crawled and rolled around in the baby area. Now, you leave that part to Patrick. It has been fun watching you grow and enjoy different aspects of the museum through your different stages. Lately, you have had tons of fun building towers with the blocks and climbing to the top, playing dress up, doing all the craft stations, and you especially love the sticker room.
First Trip to the Dentist
Elise,
A few months ago we went over to Auntie Angie's house but Mia wasn't there because she was at the dentist with her Daddy. When she came home from the dentist she showed off her new toothbrush and sticker and other goodies the dentist gave her. Ever since then, you ask to go to the dentist at least once a week. And not any dentist, it had to be Mia's dentist. We called last week to schedule your first dentist appointment and although we didn't go to Mia's dentist we did go to a girl dentist which was another request from you. You said you had to have a girl because you are a girl. You were very excited about your appointment and you told lots and lots of people that you had a dentist appointment on Tuesday. When we walked into the office you asked just about every woman there if she was Dr. Sherrill. You loved being at the dentist office and sitting in that special chair with the glasses that helped protect your eyes from the light. You chatted with Dr. Sherrill and her assistant about your fear of the chicken, how you are a big girl, and how you brush so you don't get cavatiminis. You were so happy at the end when you got your very own goodie bag filled with a princess sticker, Ariel toothbrush, bracelet and other goodies...just like Mia's dentist. It is safe to say that you love the dentist! For now.

Beating the Heat
It is summer time again! That means we have to be creative with indoor activities for Elise and Patrick. After my good friend Jessie visited us last summer, we left the air mattress out for a while so Elise could jump. She used to ask us to get "Jessie's Bed" out from time to time. This last time she asked for it she just changed it to "Jessie's Trampoline".
Jumping around on the air matress turned into jumping off the couch onto the air mattress. That turned into forming a big ramp out of the air matress from the top of the couch to the ground so she can jump down, roll down and do her gymnastics tricks. Patrick has fun and tries to climb the ramp. He really likes crawling around on it while she is bouncing around. Elise loves to get all wrapped up in a blanket like a burrito and roll down. Daddy even gets in on some of the action by doing his own flips down from time to time.
This has been entertaining us for the last two weeks!

Ellie Faces
Ellie,
You really like the funny faces segment on Yo Gabba Gabba right now. You are always coming up to me and making funny faces while I am trying to learn how to use the new camera you all got me for Mother's Day. You love to make faces and then see them on the camera. It cracks you up.

Another Cousin Sleepover
When Daddy goes out of town, we like to have cousin sleepovers. Here is some pictures of our latest cousin sleepover. Ellie, you are finally getting better about having them sleep over and actually falling asleep at a reasonable time. This time we went out for a treat, painted toe nails and finger nails, watched a movie, played outside in the water, had a dance party and played limbo. We always have a blast together.

Bouncing with RJ
Ellie,
You and RJ had your own little private bounce house party. Jordan's friend let her borrow a bounce house for a while so we went over there to play. We had a lot of laughs watching you two bounce around, tackle each other, and dive around. Both of you were full of giggles.

8 months
Patrick,
You are 8 months old. The months keep rolling on by. This was a big one for you. You went away on your first mini vacation to Flagstaff. You are now a crawling machine! When Elise calls you to come follow her somewhere you do a pretty good job of following her along. We have to be careful because you seem to love the toilet. You are also pretty independent. You play in the playroom on your own for big chunks of time. You just mosey around looking at different toys. It is fun to watch you. You love pulling your self up to standing at the walker, play kitchen or the couch. You like climbing in and standing on Ellie's chair. You use your hips and get them going until you make the chair tip over. Sweet potatoes, blueberries, avocado and crackers are your favorite. You eat so many sweet potatoes that I think you might be turning orange. But, it might just be that your hair is going to be red. I can't tell yet. We are guessing that we will see a tooth soon because your good sleeping habits are going downhill fast. You want to be held a lot when you are tired and will cry when we lay you down. Thankfully, you eventually end up falling asleep...but we could do without all of the crying. Mommy and Daddy are soooo sleepy!
