November Moments

Thanksgiving 2013

It was another wonderful Thanksgiving at Grandpa and Grandma's house. It is always my favorite day of the year. Being with family, relaxing, watching the kids run around and play, and eating some delicious food is the best!!

Mia had a Thanksgiving day sleepover. The girls helped to decorate the tree the next day before going on a fun movie date with Grandma, Sasha, Auntie Angie and me to go see the movie, Frozen.

Zoolights

We went to ZooLights on one of the members preview nights this year and it was so much fun. There was less people there and it was great for the kids to run around and play and get in the holiday spirit. It was a great start to our holiday season.

 

 

 

It is official

Ellie can ride her bicycle with no training wheels!! She loves riding all around the block. She was very proud and said, "I am so impressive with myself." Little Patchy was getting frustrated....he just couldn't keep up on his big wheels, especially since he can't touch the pedals yet!

Patchy's Accident

We had our first visit to the Urgent Care that wasn't caused by an illness. On Veteran's Day we were over at a friends house for a BBQ. Ellie and Patchy got in their pool and when they came out I wrapped Patchy up in a towel. He walked away and tripped over the towel and landed flat on his face because his hands were wrapped up in the towel so he couldn't catch himself. The sound was horrible! Poor little guy. There was sooooo much blood and it was clear he hit his head hard. He was also complaining about his nose. Patchy is pretty tough so we were a little worried about the amount of crying he was doing. Our friends encouraged us to take him in and thankfully all was OK. His teeth cut a flap into the inside of his upper lip which was causing all of the blood and they told us to watch out for concussions and his nose was good.  For a few days some foods irritated him and he wouldn't let us wipe his mouth after he finished eating so he had quite a dirty face. He had a fat lip and a bruise on his head but really, he healed up quickly!!
