Colorado Week 3

Our last week in Colorado was jam packed with fun activities and spending time with our friends and family.
Thanks to Pat and Kesa who gave us passes to the Denver Children's Museum. It was so fun for Elise and Patrick to explore somewhere new. Elise felt extra special when she got to go upstairs to the big kid area while Patrick stayed down with Daddy.

 

 

 

 We spent a morning at the Butterfly Pavillion. Unfortunately for you Elise, you had to be 3 years old to hold Rosie the trantula. We waited for Daddy to come in and hold it for you. You were really into all of the bugs. You were able to pet a cockroach and a sting ray. The butterfly area was really neat. The butterflies were flying all around us. Patrick, you had your big eyes moving all around trying to track the butterflies.

 

 

 

 

We spent a day in Boulder. We drove up Flagstaff mountain and went on a few little hikes. We ate lunch and walked around on Pearl Street. Elise, your favorite part of this day was the balloon man and the butterfly he made you.

 

 

 Daddy, Shea and Pat went on a big beautiful mountain bike ride in Breckenridge. It was probably Daddy's favorite part of the trip!

 

While the boys were out mountain biking, Kelley and I took the kids to the pool. It was great to be able to catch up with Kelley and the other Sullivan kiddos. Later that night we all met up again for dinner and ice cream.

We spent one morning at the Cherry Creek Reservoir. Elise, you loved the water and the sand. You haven't really had a whole lot of experience with the beach. It definitely wore you out! Patrick, you were driving me crazy because you kept trying to eat the sand. It was fun watching you wade around in the water. The look on your face was priceless as you were trying to figure things out. You both had a great time.

 Elise and Patrick, your favorite part of Colorado might have been Uncle Pat and Aunt Kelley's house. You were always so excited to go over there. They spoiled us with yummy meals & treats and top notch treatment. Ellie, you were so happy with all of the "cool stuff." Patrick, you just loved Uncle Pat and his mustache. You were constantly trying to pull it.  It was perfect that we were able to spend our last day there.
We finished our trip with dinner with Auntie Em, Dave and Sofia and were able to celebrate Auntie Em's birthday.

It was such a fun packed trip. We are already talking about next year!
