Chloe

I know we have mentioned how wonderful Chloe is, and here we go again!
Patrick and Ellie, you are so lucky to have a big cousin like Chloe. She comes over and entertains you nonstop the whole time she is here. Chloe is on spring break so she has come with us to the zoo, children's museum, and had a sleepover.
Ellie, you like to be just like Chloe. If we want you to wear a hat, then we have Chloe put one on so you will too. You wanted to dress exactly like her to go to the zoo. Chloe played doctor with you, helped you turn our living room into a restaurant, painted your nails, painted and colored pictures, and danced and sang with you.
Mia, Mikey and Joey get in on the Chloe action too. She spent the night over at their house the day after she spent the night at our house.
She has enough energy and loves to give to all of her baby cousins!

Mommom's Visit

Mommom came to visit us! It was the first time she met Patrick and saw our new house.
Would you PLEASE get back here Mommom?!
and bring Poppy too!

We had so much fun with her here. Mommom was a pro at putting Elise to bed and down for naps...which is hard to do. Mommom was a pro at entertaining Patrick and making his face light up with the biggest smiles and squeals. Mommom was a pro at spoiling everyone!
Ellie, you loved having another body in the house to watch you sing, dance and act like a maniac. You almost gave Mommom a heart attack on a few occasions with your climbing since she is not used to it. You loved having her there to read you stories, snuggle, play in the backyard, and watch Annie and princess movies.  Mommom took you shopping and bought you a beautiful dress, hat, stockings, Belle doll, hair pretties, sunglasses, Snow White, Cadbury Eggs, and more princess stuff than you could ever imagine.
Patrick, you loved giving Mommom the stare down. You smiled at her all the time, let her feed you and let her cuddle you to pieces. She spoiled you too. She bought your baptism outfit, a bunny hat and some very cute clothes. She had fun watching you roll all over the place.
The best part was just having her out here with us. We love you Mommom and miss you tons!

Five Months

Patrick,
You are getting old buddy! Five months. We just love you to pieces. Your squeals, grunts, the way you attack your food, the way you stare at Elise like you think she is the coolest thing in the world, your big smile, your giggles. You do have a look that has become known as the classic Patrick. It is like you are in a stare down with everyone and everything. Or, you are just in complete amazement at everything you see.  Grandma thinks you are going to be a Pope because you are so serious. As serious as you may be, it does seem like you are loving life.
You are getting chubbier. You eat avocado, peas and rice cereal. It is fun to introduce you to new foods because you certainly like to gobble them up.
You have mastered putting your own pacifier into your mouth. Although, half the time we look at you it is crooked or upside down and covering your nostrils. We don't know how you can breathe that way but at least you are happy.
You are starting to get very difficult in the bathtub. You love it,  but you are constantly moving and trying to roll off of your sling over into the water. When we put you into the blue infant bath you just keep bucking up until your legs are coming out of the tub and your face is almost down in the water. I have to hold you still the entire time and then you get mad. I miss the days when you would just chill.
Speaking of rolling...you are certainly on the move. If you have the right motive you can get pretty far. You mostly roll but you can definitely get your butt in the air and scoot yourself a little bit. Elise better enjoy her independence right now because I have a feeling you are about to start to follow her all over the place.
One of my most favorite memories about you right now is when I come to get you out of the car. I have been putting you in hats a lot so you get used to wearing them for the summer. One of the hats is a little blue hat and for some reason it always turns to the side. So, when I open the door you are looking at me with this very serious face but you look like a goofy little homie with your crooked hat. It never fails. So cute. Thanks for bringing your daddy, Elise and me so much joy!

Ostrich Festival

Patrick and Ellie,
We took you to the Ostrich Festival this weekend. It was your first carnival/fair experience. Ellie, you were only tall enough to ride on one of the rides. It was a cute little boat ride. You had fun waving to everyone as you went round and round. You also got to ride a pony, pet a snake, see the towns biggest hog, feed the goats, hug Minnie Mouse and Winnie the Pooh, and see a monkey show. Patrick, you were enjoying the great outdoors and all the people watching you could ask for.
