Mnt Biking

Another one of the highlights of our summer in Denver was watching the kids take off on their bikes. This was our first time taking them on the trail this summer. Patchy was excited from the start and took off on his balance bike. I think he really felt cool doing something he knows daddy loves so much. Ellie really wanted to love it but she had a lot of fears when she felt out of control. She tried it and got off her bike and ran around for a while. Towards the end she was determined to get back on the bike and try again and she did it and felt great! Quinnie loves the outdoors so she had fun walking around, pointing at different things and loved it when Daddy gave her a little ride down the hills.

Father's Day

Father's Day weekend was our first up in Denver. We had a nice day with Daddy. While he was on his morning bike ride the kids made a plan to pamper him when he got back. Ellie picked out his clothes and got his shower all ready. She then took him to relax in bed while we made him a nice breakfast and gave him his gift. All daddy wanted to do was go to get a Voodoo donut but we got there too late and they were all out. We ended up the day with a nice dinner at BJs brewery. Happy Father's Day to the best Daddy-O in the land!

Denver

We went to Colorado for a month this summer. I always worry a little about the car ride but the kids always do such an awesome job on the road. Ellie was into giving us makeovers in the backseat. Quinnie is just into everything. Patchy was into his little bug friend that he picked up in our driveway and wanted to take it to show Aunt Kelley. Unfortunately he lost it after about 2 hours in the car and he was very sad. The kids love stopping at gas stations and staying in hotels. We were amazed by them because on he way home from this trip...they made it in the car for over 12 hours and we drove home in one day.

We spent the first and last weeks in 2 different VRBO's in Denver. While we were in the Denver area, we went to parks, a few community pools, saw Inside Out with the Sullivans, went to the zoo, had movie nights with Aunt Kelley, and of course spent a lot of time with our favorite Colorado people the Nickoloff's, Federharrs and Sullivans.

15 months

Quinnie, you are a funny 15 month old. You are all about this goofy face these days. You love to make us laugh and you found out it does the trick. I think Ellie started it and then it continued one day when Auntie Angie was watching you and she had some sort of treat and you kept coming over and doing that face to get a treat. You are busy and into everything. You have a messy hair don't care T shirt and it suites you perfectly since your hair is typically all over the place. We are quickly figuring out that you have a very similar personality to your cousin Joey. You run, you don't walk. You are crazy feisty. And you are funny. You are a great sleeper, so I can embrace all of your tough girl spunk and nonsense during the day. Your sleep habits make up for your naughty side. We sure do love laughing with you. We love watching you grow and develop and explore all of the new things the world has to offer. You are a riot.
