Nose

Elise loves pointing randomly all day long. There are a few things she can point to if we say "Elise where is......"  Today she started pointing to her nose. But, when she points to her nose, she keeps pointing and pointing until her finger is pointing to her brain.  Here is a pretty funny video.  I'm sure she will just love this when she is older.

11 Month Elise

I can't believe that in 1 month Elise will be 1.
Nobody was kidding when they warned us how time flies!
It is a little sad. We wish time would slow down.
But...
we can't complain too much because each day is something new & we don't know how,
but it just gets better and better!

This is what Elise is up to at 11 months:
 walking everywhere
says "hi"
uses her pointer finger to the max and points at things all day long
gets in wrestling matches with her big bear
likes to sit, chill and climb all over her chair
gives kisses, big ones with her mouth wide open like she is going to take a bite out of you
dances with excitement every morning to the Sesame Street song
starting to clap
plays peekaboo with curtains or a blanket
likes to make all sorts of facial expressions

Learning to Walk

Elise started taking steps a few weeks ago but now she is really starting to put it all together.  I will look over to find her and she is just walking across the room by herself.  She is still working on it, but she is getting there.  She definitely needs more practice in the steering department! She will start off going towards something she wants but then veers off to where ever her little feet send her. She is very proud of herself and usually ends her walks with a "yaaaaaaay!"
She gets that from mom and dad.

The Trones and Carusos go Camping

We took the kids camping this weekend in the Mingus Mountains near Jerome.  There is a race every Labor Day weekend called the "Jerome Hill Climb" that we love to do. We have gone camping a few times the night before, but never with 3 little ones.
We survived... and even had a good time!
I can only imagine how much fun these trips will be as these kiddos grow up.
This year it consisted of ...
making sure Ellie didn't eat too much dirt, bugs or ash
&
making sure Mia didn't hurt herself jumping on rocks or climbing in camping chairs.
Mikey was the perfect little happy camper.
The kids eventually fell asleep but by the time they were snoozing, all the moms and dads were sleepy too. So everyone was sleeping pretty early.
In the middle of the night we heard some Elk bugling back and forth!

Is Summer Over Yet?

These days we are just WAITING for summer to end. I can not wait until the weather is a little cooler and we can be outside! It will be so nice to do things like take walks or go to the park. We do get little glimpses of cooler weather, (by cooler, I mean 100 degrees not 110) but then it just heats right back up again.
You would think being trapped inside would be torture for a little baby on the move, but Elise finds plenty of ways to entertain herself.

Action Videos

Here are some more action videos of Elise.
She is getting pretty speedy using her walker.  She loves walking accross the house with it until she runs into something. Then she stops and waits until someone turns her around and then she goes all the way back until she runs into something else and waits again. What could be more fun?
The other video is some more of her smooth dancing moves.
