Mommom and Poppy Trone

Greg's parents came to Denver this weekend to spend some time with us on our vacation. What a fun weekend we had with them.
Elise sure loves her Mommom and Poppy!

They arrived on Thursday and we hung around the hotel and let them soak in some Elise time.

Friday was Elise's very first trip to the zoo. A whole gang of family went including my cousin Pat's family, Uncle Mike and of course Mommom and Poppy.  It surprised me how much Elise really looked at the animals. She seemed to enjoy the monkeys, gorillas and apes the most.

Saturday Greg took us on a journey to Mount Evans, a fourteener that has a road you can drive to the very top. At around 11,000 feet the road became a little too scary for Elise, Mommom and me. There were spots where there wasn't any protection or gaurdrails. We chickened out and made Greg drop us off at a little lookout station while Greg and his dad drove up to the top. Elise had fun crawling around and exploring in the great outdoors. Greg and his dad came accross some beautiful mountain goats on the way up.

Sunday was Father's Day.  We had a pretty low key day. We were very happy to be able to spend the day with Poppy.  We took Elise to the hotel to go swimming in the pool during the day. Then we had the most delicious Father's Day dinner at Uncle Pat's house thanks to Aunt Kelley and Pat's cooking skills. Elise enjoyed playing out in the grass and water with Olivia and Conor.

Thanks for visiting Mommom and Poppy. We will miss you!

Sullivan Fun

Elise has been having lots of fun with the Sullivan family! Thanks to Uncle Pat and Aunt Kelley for letting us stay with you. You spoiled us with your delicious meals and 5 star treatment.
We had a great time!

The weather has been beautiful. When we first arrived we had a few days of rain and it was chilly. A perfect breakfrom the desert heat. We took advantage of the beautiful sunny days and played outside in the water with my cousin Kelley's kiddos....John Patrick, Josie, Charlie and Mary. They are a hoot and so much fun!

Aunt Kelley spoiled Elise to pieces.  She got bubbles in her bath, yummy pureed chicken dinners and some love and snuggles. Here are a few pics of Elise after she wore herself out from all the excitement!

Denver

We took a drive up to Denver to visit some friends and family last week....
It was a 13 hour drive. We stopped in Alberquerque for a night.
She was a super trooper in the car.
 It was either

         this                 or                       that

We got to visit with Auntie Em and Dave before they left for Europe.  Thanks for sharing your house with us!

Growing up

Here is the latest from Ellie's playdate with RJ and Alexa.  Poor little Alexa has a broken leg but she got her cast off a few days after we saw her. RJ is growing, he isn't that much smaller than Ellie anymore. Its so much fun watching them grow!

Tunnel

Elise is having fun on her adventures in crawling. We broke out a tunnel that we had been saving for her. She was exploring and crawling back and forth between mommy and daddy.

You might be asking yourself ...

Do they ever have clothes on that baby?

Sure we do! But, we let her be naked whenever we think it will be safe for a while.  She seems much more mobile without her big cloth diaper on!

There she goes....

Here are a few video's of Ellie on the move. Our life as we know it, is over. So long are the days of laying her on the floor with a big pile of toys and knowing she is good for a while. She's already figured out her favorite things are electric cords, dvd players, and eating paper.
