Car Shirt
Elise's new obsession is her "Car Shirt." She would wear it 24/7 if she could. We do let her wear it most of the time except for when it is filthy. It is a PJ shirt but she usually ends up wearing it all day. When she can't wear it she always asks to see it in the dirty clothes, washer or dryer. I guess it is just so she can make sure it is still there. The other morning she woke up out of a bad dream crying for her car shirt. Then she automatically started crying about Mia. So, we are assuming she might have had a bad dream about Mia taking her car shirt. Who knew a little one could get so attached to a shirt!

Big Girl Things
There has been some big things happening around our house lately.
Elise got a big girl bed. We are hoping to make the transition before her baby brother gets here. We have some time so we will take it slow. As of right now it is her place to go and read books or jump like a little maniac.

As of last week, Elise has been potty training! We have been talking about it with her for a long time and the potty has been out for her to play around with but haven't really attempted to actually potty train her. Thanks to Mia, Elise has been obsessed with the potty for a long time. See here. One day last week, she actually just ran into the bathroom and went potty on her own. Her little toilet sings a song when she goes so it is very exciting for her. We started giving her suckers each time she went but then quickly changed to stickers. Thankfully, she is thrilled with the stickers for now. We moved her potty to the living room temporarily for easy access. So far, she has been doing great. Today we even ventured over to grandma and papa's house with undies on.
Elise has been looking at books for a long time, but now that she is talking more she tries to read them out loud. She does pretty well with some of the picture books. Here she is reading a book to Boots.
She has been obsessed with nursery rhymes like "Humpty Dumpty" and "Hickory Dickory Dock". She loves it when we curl up on the bed and watch YouTube video clips of different rhymes and songs. She will sing along and clap. She laughs out loud at funny parts and gets very worried when sad things happen like when Humpty falls. It is very sweet. We usually find the videos where Humpty gets put back together again so there is a happy ending. Here she is watching a few videos with her Daddy-O.

Elise's 1st Haircut
We took Elise to get her first haircut today. She was pretty scared at first when we tried to put her in the seat so she clung on to her Daddy for dear life. They ended up cutting her hair in his lap. Eventually, Elise sat in the chair and even let the hairstylist put a little bow in her hair.
Trouble
Elise has been giving kisses out a little too easy these days. She is always giving her buddy RJ kisses. Sometimes at playdates with her friends she has to go around and give everyone a kiss. When she was playing in the mall play area yesterday she was "driving" a car. A little boy came up and tried to talk her into letting him have a turn. She just gave him a kiss. It was pretty smart because he left her alone...real quick!
31 Weeks
Baby Trone is already 31 weeks. He seems to be growing like a champ. Elise doesn't pay too much attention to my big belly, but once in a while she will give her brother a little shout out. Sometimes she wants to share with him and will pull up my shirt and stick her binky or a sucker in my belly button.
I hope she is that sweet to him when he arrives!
