Daddy Daughter Date

Ellie and Daddy have been on many many many dates together. She loves having special time with just her Daddy. It was perfect that her preschool an official Daddy Date Night at her school where they brought their Daddy in and did some fun activities with them. Greg let Ellie pick out his outfit and Ellie dressed to impress.

Big Boy Bed

Patrick is now sleeping in the big boy bed! He made the transition a lot sooner than we had planned because he was becoming a master at crawling out of his crib. The middle of the nights were rough for a while because for some reason he did not want to sleep in the crib anymore. He was waking up very upset and wanted to be held and rocked. So, we transformed the crib into a toddler bed so we could lay with him when he woke up in the night instead of holding and rocking him. It was a pretty easy transition.
He does a good job of taking naps in his big boy bed. Ellie loves peeking in on him when he is snoozing at nap time. Sometimes what we find is pretty funny. He loves to go to sleep with some type of ball and he usually has a ton of mimis with him. I love when he just comes walking out of his room when he wakes up. It is so cute. He just kind of stands in the hall and stares until we see him.
He also does a good job of going to sleep at night in his bed. The big problem now is that sometime in the night, he quietly walks into our room and crawls in our bed. Ellie never did this so it new for us. Grandma always said to not ever allow that to happen because it is like crack for babies. She was right because now it is quite a habit. I don't mind it too much because Patchy is such a sweetie. But, we are crossing our fingers that he starts sleeping through the night again in his own room soon. Maybe when we get bunk beds and he shares a room with his sis, that will help!

Ellie's Haircut

One day, Ellie was practicing cutting paper with "snizzers".  I left the room for a minute and came back and realized that she had also practiced cutting her hair! She decided to give herself some bangs after years of trying to grow them out. It really wasn't that bad, but it did warrant a trip to the salon where they fixed up her new bangs a bit. She got another cute little bob along with some super exciting hair chalk. She was in heaven!

Big Rain

We finally had some good rain that created good puddles out front. Ellie and Patchy love when this happens!
