Playtime

We gave Patrick a shot in the Jumperoo last week. He wasn't able to jump or make it move around yet but he is starting to grab some things. He was really enjoying hanging out in there but then of course Ellie had to rain on his parade. She LOVES to get invovled in everything that we do with him. His face was cracking me up as she was trying to climb up there! His eyes get super big when she does things like that. Thankfully, it didn't take her too long to get bored with that and on to something else. Elise is still a crazy little monkey figuring out ways to get some adventure in throughout the house and backyard. Nonstop entertainment.

Gymnastics

Ellie, we took you to your very first gymnastics class. You were so excited. I love the way you say gymnastics!

 You ran around the whole place like a wild woman jumping on the trampolines and crawling through the tunnels. When it came time to settle down and listen to the teacher you did a very good job. You did lots of running back and forth, rolling, crab walking, headstands, somersaults and a fun obstacle course with the balance beam and spring board. It was very fun to watch.

3 Months

You are 3 months old Patrick! You have been very busy lately. You practice sitting in the Bumbo seat, tummy time, reaching out for things, rolling over and watching your big sis. You rolled over the day you turned 3 months old. After, you just laid there on your tummy and sucked on your hand. I don't think you were too impressed but we were!
You are such a snugly little guy. I love it. You have mellowed out in the past few weeks. I can take you out now without worrying too much that you are going to get upset. We met some friends for lunch today and you just sat in your car seat and looked around and even fell asleep a few times. I couldn't believe it. Thank you!
You are smiling more and more. You are making tons of noises.  When Elise is around your eyes are constantly on her. Except for when you are hungry...then your big brown eyes give me a stare down. I know exactly when you are hungry because you won't take your eyes off of me. I love that when I come in your room in the morning to pick you up out of your crib you give me the biggest smile and sometimes even a squeal.  

Big Girl Status

Ellie, you have been mighty proud of yourself lately because you are officially becoming a big girl! You finally sleep in your big girl bed. We had to figure out a way to get you to sleep in your new room about a month ago so Patrick could have his crib. So, Papa and Grandma let us borrow their crib for a few weeks so we could at least transition you into your big girl room. For a while we would let you choose where you wanted to sleep and you would go back and forth between the crib and the bed. For the most part we would always find you in the crib in the morning. Just last week we took the crib back to Papa's house and you are now officially in the big girl bed! You are doing really well with potty training. We even venture out of the house with undies on instead of a diaper now. This past week I was so proud of you because we went to the zoo and you didn't have any accidents. Keep it up big girl!

Family Haircut Day

We had a big haircut party at our house the other day. Auntie Angie, Mia, Mikey, Ellie and I all got haircuts. It was so nice to do it at a house instead of a salon. Elizabeth came over and got busy cutting hair one after another. Joey and Patrick were sooooo good! It worked out great. I think this is the plan from here on out. Happy New Year!

We went to Zoo Lights on New Year's Eve with the Myers family. It was so much fun watching Elise and RJ running around. They were so excited. Patrick, you were wide awake and alert looking at all the lights. It looked like your eyes were going to pop out.  Elise, on the way home you mastered the double finger nose pick. I think your New Year's resolution is to stop sticking things, especially paper and your fingers, up your nose.
