Patchy's 1st Haircut

We finally took Patchy to get his first haircut. We were loving his little curls and crazy hair so his 1st haircut was long overdo. He did great! He played in the little taxi, watched Mickey on the TV and watched himself in the mirror. It is amazing how that first little haircut can transform them in to a little boy.

 

 

Of course, Ellie wanted a haircut too. She knows just what to ask for now, "a cute little bob".

Mighty Mud Mania

Scottsdale recreation department hosted a big Mud Mania so we headed up to join in on the fun with the Caruso family. They had a little mini mud obstacle course that the girls did a few times but the real fun was spent in the mud troughs. They all spent a lot of time playing in the mud, climbing, trying to paint a playhouse in mud and were really enjoying themselves until it was time to clean up. The struggles in the shower was well worth all of the fun they had.

Fun with the Horseys

It was so nice to be able to spend time with Greg's good friend Eric and his family. Ellie and "Patches" really enjoyed their time with Ava and Landon during our trip. Ava is as sweet as can be and Landon is quite the athlete. He showed Patrick some mad basketball skills. He says when he grows up he wants to be a Celtic and sweat a lot.
We went to a little amusement park in Pennsylvania called Dutch Wonderland with Lulu, Eric, Jackie and their two littlest kiddos. It is an amusement park centered around young kids. There were plenty of rides to enjoy and a water park area. We learned that Ellie is not a roller coaster gal. She screamed the entire time and I am kind of worried she is scarred for life. The highlight of the day was probably the water park area since it was so hot and humid out. The face painting was a big hit too!

Greg was able to get away for a night with Eric. They flew up to Boston to catch some Red Sox games. Although it rained the entire time they still had a great time. It was so good for these two daddies to take a break and get away!

Rohoboth Beach

We went to Rohoboth Beach in Deleware during our trip. We were a little worried because it was pouring down rain the entire drive there. Thankfully the rain stopped as soon as we arrived to the beach. Mommom came with us and we stayed at a hotel right on the beach. It was so beautiful and definitely some of our favorite days of the trip. Ellie and Patrick absolutely loved the beach. The waves were perfect. Patrick even ended up meeting a gal on the beach and left us to go hang with her for a while. We loved walking on the boardwalk, riding on some rides, playing games in the arcade and eating the good beach food.
