Down on Poppy's Farm

We took a big trip across the country to Maryland and stayed with Mommom and Poppy on their farm for a few weeks. It was so fun to be able to take the kids back to Daddy's hometown so he could show them all around. It was so nice to be able to visit with all of our family there. It is such a beautiful place and there was so much for the kids to explore. The kids enjoyed riding on the tractor with Poppy. Ellie loved making a beautiful wreath with Mommom out of her flowers. Poppy is a huge animal lover and because of that the kids were introduced to many different types of animals. They saw deer in the fields, raccoons, squirrels, frogs, turtles, a goat, beautiful birds, ducks, geese, lightening bugs, caterpillars, brand new little goslings, tadpoles and fish in the ponds. Poppy let Ellie help him on his farm by filling the birdseed and feeding the fish. They even bought her some boots so she could walk around the farm with him. They had their whole house all ready for us. We had everything we needed! They set up a crib for Patchy, a princess room for Ellie, bought towels, rubber duckies, pajamas, books, cups, silverware, plates, toys, bathrobes, toys, and tons and tons of food. We were even treated to a "firecracks" on two of the nights. Thank you for having us Mommom and Poppy!

Patrick loved their dog, Ashley. Ashley loved him too. It was pretty funny watching Patchy with her. He was always wanting her to lick him and would put his hand or his feet in her face. Each morning he was always excited to see, "dog".

Mommom rented a bounce house for the entire first week we were there. It was so nice to be able to just step out to the backyard and let the kids jump around and get their energy out. It was a fun way to get to spend more time with Billy and Lulu!
