Grandma's Pool

Grandma and Papa's pool is open from Papa's birthday until Grandma's birthday. Even though the weather is warm outside, the water gets cold. We had a great summer of swimming in Grandma's pool this year. Quinnie loves the water. I have never seen her as happy as she is when she is in the water. She swam around, laid back, went down the slide, played with Grandma and watched the airplanes go by in the sky. Patchy took some big steps in the pool this summer. He finally left the step with water wings on and by the end of the summer he was swimming out and around without wings! Next summer he will take lessons and probably be good to go! Ellie was a fish all summer and even began diving and doing flips into the pool. This was one of the first summers that I really enjoyed going swimming with all of the kids. They were so fun to watch!! We had some fun days with the Caruso's and Chloe. A lot of the time, Patchy, Quinn and I would sneak over and go for a swim in the afternoon while Ellie was at school. They sure loved their Grandma time and pool time! The last day we swam we celebrated Grandma's birthday. We were able to play outside in the front and the kids were riding their bikes and racing back and forth on the sidewalk. The perfect transition to Fall and playing outdoors again!
