Something kind of funny to remember about Ellie and her start in school is that she had a big crush on her friend Porter. These two were calling each other their boyfriend/girlfriend. One day Ellie brought home her math work and had a drawing on the date line. I asked her if the drawing was of daddy and me on a date and she said that it was Porter and her on a date. We ended up going bowling with some families one night and these two were dancing, bowling together and acting silly. I think their little shenanigans ended up getting the whole class a talking to from the teacher. They were told they weren't allowed to have boyfriends/girlfriends until college. Thank you to Mrs. Lawson because Ellie said they broke up. But, thankfully they are still the bestest of friends.
