Elise and Patrick,
Halloween was lots of fun this year! Elise, holidays are starting to be even more exciting now that you are starting to understand more that is going on. You practiced your "trick or treat" and talked about candeeeeee a lot the days before Halloween. Patrick, this was your first Halloween so you were just along for the ride and some pictures. You did enjoy your walk in the Ergo and pretty much slept through it all.
Elise, you dressed up as Humpty Dumpty because you love "Humpty Humpty" so much. One day a few weeks ago, I told you we were going to go shopping for Halloween decorations for the house and for some reason you started shouting Humpty Dumpty. That gave us the idea to find you a Humpty Dumpty costume. It was perfect for you. Patrick, you were Mickey Mouse because Grandma supplied you and Joey with your outfits. He was Tigger and you two were such cute little sugars.
We went to Grandma and Papa's house to go trick or treating. Papa had the house all decked out in scary decorations and spooky music. Elise, you kept saying "scawwwey, scawwey." We went trick or treating around their neighborhood with Mia the cowgirl and Mikey the Hawiiaan.
After we went up and down the street at Papa's house, we hurried back to our house to hand out candy. It turns out we have quite the festive neighborhood. I think next year we will just hang around our house and have everyone over to trick or treat.
Elise, I think your favorite part of the entire night was handing out candy. You were shouting out to all the people walking by saying "Peoples....candy. Peoples come here!" You wanted to give big handfuls to all the trick or treaters and we ran out. We had to give your candy away. You didn't seem to mind though. =)
Patrick, after all the festivities ended we gave you your first real bath. Although it doesn't look like it in the picture below...you loved it. And I loved that you slept for 7 hours straight after. I think it is bathtime every night for a while! Woo hoo.
