Vertuccio Farms

We went to Vertuccio Farms again this year. It has become a nice family tradition. This year, Ellie wanted it to be just our family. We weren't allowed to meet any friends there. They had a lot of fun together jumping on the big bounce pillows, running through the corn maze, riding on the little train, going down the slides, riding the seesaw, seeing some farm animals and throwing bean bags to knock down the birds. Quinnie is really one of the kids now, she was right there doing everything with them. It was such a fun night, with just our family.

 

Patchy is 4

Patchy, You are 4. I can't believe it. I really feel a tinge of sadness on this birthday. I am going to miss you at this age sooooooooo much. Will you always be so sweet, caring, cuddly, loving? I sure hope so!  You are such a fun kid. You spend most days pretending you are a superhero or football player. You get so sweaty playing football by yourself and giving us a play by play on how the game is going. You get so pumped up!! You also love wrestling with your daddy, building with legos or other blocks, taking care of your stuffed animals and handing out your toys like you are the mailman. Lately you have been having cars race and get into accidents and then you build a car hospital out of block and send them there to get better. You love doing shake rumbles with your characters. You just really love toys and pretending. You have a lot of friends. I ask you who your best friend is and say all of them or that you haven't decided yet. Everyone loves you bud. You are just so nice and caring. You are so easy going. Ellie says everyone wants to be your friend because you are just so cute! I love your innocence. We were watching college football on TV and you asked Daddy which one Cannon was. One night, we were leaving the Caruso's house and you noticed the big moon. You kept watching it outside the window of the car and you couldn't believe the moon was following us home. When we got home you looked outside and you were so happy the moon was still with us.You think that is our moon. You are having fun playing T Ball although you would really like to play football like your cousin Cannon. You are really loving your preschool and teacher Linda. I wanted to keep you home from school the other day to go to the zoo and you said you wanted to go to school. You get so excited on school days. I don't blame you, it is a pretty great preschool! You love your Quinnie. You two are always the first to hug and comfort each other if one of you is upset. You like to take her mimi and throw it across the room. You tickle her, squeeze her, lay on her and just plan bug her. You prove that it is possible to give someone too much love. You and Ellie have great days and then some pretty rotten days too. You two push each other's buttons. I'd say it is lead by Ellie because on the days she is really into you and wants to play...you are on cloud 9. You love both of your sisters and they are so lucky to have you. We are all so lucky to have you.  

Your biggest stinker moments are at bedtime. It is the worst. It is like you just don't want the days to end. You can switch into a little pain as soon as we tell you to brush your teeth. You turn into the biggest jerk. It is kind of funny, but not all the time. 

You are super affectionate. You will just come up and snuggle and say I love you, mommy out of the blue. You will come up and give us a little kiss and hug. You are so sweet.

I sooooo want to hold on to you at this age forever. but I am also so very excited to see who you become because it is going to be great!!! We love you so much little man.

Celebrating Patchy's 4th

Patchy was lucky enough to have a few birthday celebrations. His buddy, Andrew was going to be out of town for his birthday party so he brought over his own personal party to Patchy one day. They played, sang happy birthday and had cake. Patchy got to be king for the day at his preschool and they sang him a silly birthday song while his teacher held him upside down. Patchy's big birthday party was at Chuck E Cheese's. It was such a fun afternoon. Patchy had the boys from his preschool and some of his other friends as well as his cousins there. Papa went in the ticket blaster with him and he ended up with over 2,000 tickets! On his real birthday we had a nice little celebration at home with Mommom and Poppy. They brought him his very own gigantic cupcake. What a fun birthday week for Patchy!
