Cousin Trip to the Beach

Auntie Angie, Grandma and I decided to take all of the kids including Chloe to the beach. We started the drive off with Auntie Angie and Grandma driving the boy van and I drove the girl van. They made it all the way with one stop. The drive home was pretty good as well. Our best friends both live near Carlsbad so we decided to stay in Encinitas just south of Carlsbad. We were able to see both Lisa's family and Sheila's family for dinners. We had 2 good days at the beach. We celebrated Chloe's 14th birthday. The trip was so much fun and the kids were so good. We need to do it every year.

Patchy Pretend Play

Patchy is definitely in the pretend play stage. He is very versatile, too. He can go fro playing Batman to Star Wars to mommy honey. He is not shy about going out of the house in his character. The other day we were at the library and I saw him through the book case running back and forth on the way to save the day.

last zoo trip

We squeezed in one last trip to the zoo before it gets too hot with Riley's family. It was already too hot! They splashed in the splash pad and we went around and saw quite a bit of animals. Ellie was having fun taking pictures and videos of all of the animals. Quinn had her last handfuls of sand from the playground. I'm hoping by the time we can go play outside again, this phase is over!

Ears Pierced!!

Ellie, Grandma, Quinn and I took a trip to the mall to get Ellie's ears pierced. I had told her a while back that she could do it whenever she was ready and she decided that it was time. It was a fun way to celebrate the end of her preschool years! She said it didn't hurt too bad but that it did hurt more than she thought it would.
