Go Devils

Daddy and I had a special day with just Patchy. We took him to his first ASU football game. Patrick has been pretty Sparky obsessed for over a year now and loved watching sparky videos on YouTube. They call the stadium, "The House of Heat" and it lived up to it's name. It was a very hot day. It was so cool to finally be able to take him but the poor little guy was sooo tired and overwhelmed! He was just taking it all in, which is true Patrick form. We took the light rail in and the crowds were enormous because it was ASU vs ND. After Patchy took a 1st quarter nap, he started to wake up and enjoy being in the stadium a bit. We walked around and climbed all the way to the very top of the stadium. He was very quiet taking it all in but he sure was an earful on the way home. The Devils won and he loved it!! We loved having this day with just Patchy.

Park Weather!

We are so happy that it is finally park weather. We can go to the park in the middle of the day and it is so nice out. It seemed like October was hotter than normal or maybe it is mixed with that and the crazy amount of mosquitos we have had this year but going to the park seemed to take a lot longer this year. We took Quinn on her first trip to our neighborhood park. It is crazy to think about how much we have been at this park over the past 3 years and the kids never seem to get tired of it. Ellie would prefer if it had monkey bars but she is finding new ways to enjoy the park with her little sis.

Flagstaff

We went on a quick trip to Flagstaff with Chloe and the Carusos. They rented us some cute little cabins at the KOA. It was Daddy's birthday weekend so it was a perfect excuse for him to go out for some fun rides and a great birthday dinner at a pizza place thanks to the Caruso's. The kids had fun in their cabins and dressing all cozy. One day we played at the park and went on a little nature hike. The next day it was so cold and rainy that we hung out at the mall while daddy and his buddy went out for a birthday ride in the crazy weather. They even rode through some snow. It was so much fun and makes us thankful that even though we live in AZ we can still get a little glimpse of winter weather whenever we feel like driving up there. It also made us appreciate the many months of perfect weather we are just beginning at home.

 

 

October Moments

 

Halloween 2014

Ellie and Patchy woke up so excited about Halloween. Greg found them whispering about it with each other. They were a little bummed to hear that Halloween was a night holiday and we wouldn't be doing much until after dinner. They did get to carve their pumpkins during the day. They all dressed up as the Smurfs and were very cute. Quinn was a little trooper in her baby smurf outfit. Patchy and Quinn just went back and forth down the block and then home to hand out candy. Ellie was on a mission and wanted to go all over the neighborhood. But, it didn't take long before she was telling me how badly her feet hurt and that she was a little homesick.
