Aloha Festival

Daddy and Ellie went on a special date to the Aloha Festival. Ellie wanted to learn how to hula dance from REAL hula girls. It looks like she took it very seriously. She spent about a half hour under the tent learning some new dance moves.

While Daddy was gone...

Daddy went away for the weekend to visit his Pops in West Virginia so we scheduled a jam packed weekend to make the time pass by quickly. The first night Patchy and I slept at Grandma's while Ellie had a sleepover at Mia's house. This was good prep for Patrick for when the baby comes. He has never been away from us for the night so I wanted to get him familiar with sleeping at Grandmas. The second night Auntie Angie came over to our house for a sleep over and got me hooked on Downton Abby. Thanks everyone for helping out so much while Greg was gone.
We were busy during the days... Ellie and I took Patchy to see his first movie. We saw, Frozen and he did really good. I think it helped that he already knew all of the songs from Ellie singing them all of the time.

The kids had to grab a quick snooze in the car before a birthday party at Peter Piper Pizza. After that, we picked up Grandma and Chloe. We met the Caruso family at ASU for their Night of the Open Door. It is such a fun event! Patch and JoJo enjoyed pushing a recycling bin around for a good amount of time while everyone else went to a 3D movie.

 

After the fun sleepover I met these guys at Tempe Center for the Arts for a Childs Play performance of Cat and the Hat. They loved it!

 

Grandma helped us kill some time by using some extra tokens left over from the birthday party and having lunch before it was finally time to go pick up Daddy from the airport. She won both of the kids a ball and helped them earn plenty of tickets to cash in.

Of course everyone was so happy to have Daddy back!!!

 

February Moments

New Park

There is a brand new park that opened up right by the new Cubs Spring Training Complex. It is always fun to try a new park and this park is awesome. It has the biggest climbing features I have ever seen which is perfect for our little monkeys. We went to try it out early one morning before all the Spring Training madness started. We will definitely go back there a lot. The kids have a big challenge to try to make it up to the top of the big climbing web. There is a zip line and I was pretty impressed that Patchy tried it out all by himself. He took a big spill but got up and laughed and tried again.

Valentines Day

We had a busy Valentines day this year. We started the day with a fun breakfast. Ellie and Patchy just loved drinking water out of the Champaign glasses. We went to the Dr. to check on baby #3 and all is well. Less than a month to go before we meet our new baby!!  Then we went to a fun Candy Land party at gymnastics. Ellie also had her first Valentines swap at preschool this year. It was so exciting for her!  The best part of Valentines this year was that Grandma came and went out to dinner with the kids and me while Daddy-O stayed home to put together the new bunk beds. It will take some time to transform Ellie's girlie girl room into a shared room with Patchy but we have a great start!
