Annual Cousin Sleepover

This year's sleepover was a lot of fun. The kids are getting older and more rowdy but that makes it more fun. They don't get to see each other as much anymore so the first hour or so they just ran around and played. They made gingerbread houses, went caroling and watched the Christmas Story. This year is was extra special because Cannon came over too! When the movie was over and the TV off they all conked out within 10 minutes. The next day, we took some food and goodies to a fire station. One of Ellie's friends dad is a fireman and he took us all around the station. It turns out that another fireman that was on duty works with Greg so it was nice to treat those guys to a good meal. After we got back, Greg and I went out for our anniversary. 7 years strong. We bought a brand new bed to celebrate!! King size to fit in all of the extra people that keep coming into our room every night. We came back to Grandma's and the house smelled like coffee cakes! Grandma and the kids were making delicious coffee cakes...one of the best sweet smells of Christmas.

Ellie's Celebrations

As I mentioned before...Ellie's school likes to party. They had multiple celebrations throughout the month. They made gingerbread, decorated candy houses, had a holiday party another day and a pajama day on the last day of school. Mixed in there on one afternoon was her 2nd quarter cottage fair. They celebrated traditions over the world. Ellie sang loud and proud for all to hear. Her bff was standing right behind her and they were so fun to watch.

She also had a fun outing with her Daisy troop in the beginning December. They went rock climbing to earn their courageous and strong pedal.

Zoolights

We were able to take Mommom and Poppy with us on our annual Zoolights trip this year. It really does keep getting better and better. It was even chilly this time around. Ellie loved the dancing lights and doing tricks, Patchy loved the talking giraffe and turtle and Quinnie just loved running for anybody to catch her.

Patch Can Ride!!

 I came out one afternoon and was in total shock to see Patch riding his bike! I was so proud of him. He really loved his Strider so I was so happy to see that he finally gave his big boy bike a shot. Go Patch!!

 

Quinnie is a little dare devil. She likes to take off down the driveway in whatever transportation she can get on. 

2 Santas

Our family was lucky enough to start the holiday season with a breakfast with Santa and then a play date with Santa all in one day. Mommom's neighborhood hosted a fun breakfast. There was tons of food, crafts and of course Santa gave all the little kids gift bags. Patchy said that he couldn't eat breakfast because he was too excited to see Santa. The Bryant family invited Santa Claus over for a play date. It was so fun to see all the little kids watching Santa. He spent time with each kid and family and then read a story. The kids were able to ask a ton of questions. He was the best Santa!! He got a kick out of Ellie's matching outfit and asked to take a picture with her. Patchy was too shy to tell him what he wanted to he went away with Daddy and they wrote it down. Quinnie could care less about Santa...she just wanted to keep eating junk.
